IPM FAQs
IPM (Integrated Programme in Management) is a 5-year integrated BBA+MBA program offered by IIMs and other leading management institutes. It allows students to begin their management education immediately after Class 12.
IPM offers a structured pathway to management education with an integrated curriculum, strong peer group, and direct progression towards an MBA. For students aiming for management careers, IPM can provide significant advantages over a standalone BBA degree.
IPMAT scores are accepted by institutes such as IIM Indore, IIM Ranchi, IIM Bodh Gaya, IIFT Kakinada, TAPMI Manipal, Nirma University, NALSAR University, Alliance University, and several other reputed management institutions.
IPM graduates can build careers in consulting, finance, marketing, analytics, product management, entrepreneurship, operations, and leadership roles across top companies in India and abroad.
Yes. Students who successfully complete the 5-year integrated program receive management qualifications that include the MBA component as per the institute's curriculum structure.
Absolutely. IPMAT primarily tests aptitude, logical reasoning, quantitative ability, and verbal skills. With proper preparation, mentorship, and consistent practice, students from all academic backgrounds can perform well.
IPMAT is competitive, but the competition is significantly lower than the MBA admission process through CAT. Students get an opportunity to secure a pathway towards management education immediately after Class 12 instead of competing for MBA admissions after graduation.
IPM allows students to start their management journey right after Class 12 and compete in a much smaller applicant pool compared to CAT. Since CAT is taken by lakhs of graduates every year, many students prefer IPM as an early pathway towards management education and future MBA opportunities.
The ideal time to start preparing is Class 11 or early Class 12. Starting early gives students enough time to build aptitude, improve verbal ability, strengthen quantitative skills, and take regular mock tests.
